Title: Testing
Post by: Chuckles_the_Clown2 on February 13, 2006, 03:41:40 PM
Theres two cannibals sitting down munching upon a Ringling Brothers employee. The one cannibal turns to the other cannibal and says:

\"do you think this clown tastes funny?\"

NC Tony:

We actually probably have to give the Chucklemeister some credit for calling for doom and gloom for young Mr. Hill after he lost his bug.

Hill was the seventh leading rider (and leading apprentice rider) in NY in 05. (Prado, Johnny V, Coa, Mig, Luzzi, Jav Castellano, Arroyo, Hill, Cornelio Vel and Bailey)(not bad Anthony-- 2 guindaloons in the top 10). Recently he has gone cold, and at about the time he just began to get chilly fast talking agent Drew Mollica dropped him and picked up Jose Santos. In the last 10 days, Hill is 3/35, and only 5/87 over the last 30 days. A quick look at Wednesday\'s card shows him with only 1 mount.

The only trainer who has supported him steadily is Steve Asmussen. Hill is originally from the Midwest-- Montana, Nebraska, one of those states where the men are men and the sheep are afraid-- and may end up returning to ride first call for Asmussen somewhere in that part of the country.

Yeah I know But- He\'s Chuckles the Clown, He started his thread with the heading testing. So I was testing to see if I could get him wound up right out of the box. It is in good fun. Poor Chuckles... everyone laughed during his funeral. Didn\'t he get hit by a bus or was it an elephant that sat on him?..Can\'t rememebr anymore.

Anyway, if your watching inside racing this week on FSNY. They are showing the replays of the Marlboro Cup races from Belmpnt in the 70-80\'2. It\'s like a whos\' who in racing history. Secrateriat vs Riva Ridge, Slew vs Affirmed, Forego vs everyone.

The interesting thing I noticed back in the day is that everyone raced wide in the stretch at belmont back then and may have come further in once they got close to the wire. The other thing I noticed but need to rewatch is that they ran a mile and a quarter chute and then put  the chute it in the turn in the early 80\'s or they increased the distance of the race. I need to rewatch it. QUite fun for you History Buff\'s.

Trampled while dressed as Peter Peanut in a parade... a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants... priceless.
