And the 17-1 shot giving the winner his victory was ALLURING BEL. :))
Some people may want to remain anonymous but it may be inevitable. A very very very prominent member of this Board, perhaps the Godfather of this Board, finished extremely high on this list.
Congratulations.......
Our boy Randall Immett, a Spillane disciple, text messaged me last night.. He finished 49th of the 226.. Strong Saturday, but too tough to recover from the one win/three 2nd\'s on Friday..
Congrats to Rand on his first appearance.. He\'ll be back..
Well if he had read this article. http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/editorial/article.cgi?id=3273 He might have had a 45-1 first time grass maiden winner and won the competition.
Tmon,
Unusual Heat should be pretty well known to TG users. One only has to look at his turf/dirt index. A huge jump up for his turf vs. dirt number.
I used this index last summer (I think Delmar) when another UH via Abrams scored on his first turf effort. The payoff was pretty large...and, to my benefit, was in the pick 4 that day (my major bet most days) ....
I find those TG index numbers and dam numbers as a very subtle but big edge.
Was a nice stroy by TH but I wish he had not wrote it.
I interviewed the runner-up Lowe after the race and he specifically told me he used the horse because of this newsletter.
