This 3 year old maiden just crushed at Acqueduct in the 6th. Man what a stride this one has! Dominguez gunned him to the lead and he leveled out beautifully to run a 1/2 in .44 & change. Drew off in the lane but I didn\'t catch the final time.
This one had the best stride of any young horse I\'ve seen in a long, long time.
M Trombetta is the trainer - don\'t know of him but they have a brilliant young animal here. Think I\'ll get down on him in the futures...
Anyone know anything about this one?
Time as i recall was 109. 2 or 3
very nice for that caliber

No, not really. No inside word that is. His sire has had one crop to hit the track and that crop had some decent horses. He\'s solid on Sire side pedigree. Probably a bit of a sleeper on dam side, even though his near term female family didnt accomplish much on the track. His female side grand dam produced a 500K plus earner.
That was a motoring race. Have to judge it the best of the day and thats what you look for in projecting a runner. He finished like theres more too. Probably too obvious a race to snag for a song. But he is a gelding, as was Brass Hat who snagged that New Orleans Handicap like theres more to come as well. He can\'t miss a beat from here in of course.
Nice early call

All I know is that Trombetta said that he doesnt think he is for sale by the owner. Which I find hysterical since they ran him for maiden 40 last month.
OK Kids. This is your last chance to bet this horse at a decent price. Kent D comes into ride this Saturday. Will be third choice, hoping for 4-1. I got him at 30-1 in the futures but this bad ass gelding shows them how to get around the inner dirt this Saturday. Join my SNS bandwagon! Waters fine!!!!!

From what I am hearing on this board today you might be at a disadvantage going into the derby with this horse. It\'s had more than two preps before the Derby. Being in condition is no longer valued by the wagering commuinity in the modern drug era of racing.
Good luck.

Have to agree with what TGJB said. More times than not the horse with two Derby Preps is \"shorted\". He\'s missed time and is rushing.
Personally, its nice to see 3 or 4 3YO starts. You have to like multiple starts against quality competition. Sure, the figure is going to be the prime consideration, but factoring a requisite number of good efforts vs. good horses is something to keep in mind. If they can get three or four starts in them, they are proving a couple of things. Its nice to have those things on your side.

If you believe you have a Triple Crown winner and want to go easy on him with 2 starts so that by the Belmont he\'s only running his 5th race of the year, thats one angle. The problem is you got to be ready for the 1st leg.

He\'s got a decent shot and if I\'m not mistaken about this , gets about a point in weight from the main contenders . What kind of price do you think he\'ll be ? A friend from Jamaca who is not a figure handicapper per se but does alot with his eye , was asking about this one ...
