Looking at a horse running today @ Philly and under the sire profile, it states that this horse (Lion Hearted) has not run any horses (siblings) as 4 yos, but one as a 5 yo. Is this possible?
Trying to get a read on how much these horses improve from 3 to 4, even though there is a limited study number for horses that have run.
Additionally, does anyone remember what kind of horse Lion Hearted was??
Thanks,
Mike
Mike:
I dont remember Lion Hearted, but I guess I can read the Stallion Register as well as anyone.
LH started 18 times with a record of 4 wins, 6 seconds and 3 thirds, adding up to lifetime earnings of about $190,000. His four wins were in sprints, 2 at 6f and 2 at 7f. He ran second in 2 Graded Stakes, the Riva Ridge and the Amsterdam.
While not a stellar racer, LH is impeccably bred. His sire, Storm Cat, needs no introduction. His dam, Cadillacing, is a regally bred Phipps mare by Alydar out of Relaxing, who produced Easy Goer. If you go back 3 generations in LH\'s pedigree, you find Northern Dancer, Secretariat, Raise a Native, and Buckpasser.
Good luck at the races today!
Thanks. I claimed a NJ bred filly at Philly today by Lion Hearted and was curious if she had any decent breeding and the sire profile on her sheet has limited starters. Look for her at Monmouth in June.
