Title: heard on the street
Post by: rando on October 18, 2005, 08:54:50 PM
I\'ve been in Houston as Cardinal fan but have not been on the computer for a couple of days. Heard following: Calder sold to Stronach (potential to close down and run year round at Gulfstream),NYRA to file bankruptcy after the CUP.All this may be old news or incorrect ! Comments

As an old St. Louis resident, I would love for there to be a Chicago/ St. Louis WS. Would be great for Illinois and Missouri.. Go Redbirds!

NYRA .. I\'ve been playing NYRA races for 30 years.. who would have thought they would go bankrupt before me.

Year round at Gulf would probably be a big mistake... don\'t know if there are enough quality animals in Fla year round to maintain the type of quality racing we expect out of GP.

Isn\'t Crc a Churchill property?  Wouldn\'t think they would sell to Magna...

Manning   That is correct and they don\'t like each other. But,Churchill spent a lot in Louisville, sold Hollywood Park, so anything is posible. Time will tell.

Guess my info in October was accurate per DRF of today. Any comments on the info on Calder. Hope the Cards p/u Burnett reguardless of $$$$$ or length of contract.I can spend the Cards owners money the same as I can criticize horse owner for sindication and retirement from racing.

  Rando.Rando Rando....where do I begin?

Your \"man on the street\"(with apologies to steve allen) was THE dumbest thread I have ever read.

Now less than 2 months later ,am I to understand this bonehead idea of yours,(churchill selling an entity to stronach) is coming to fruition?!  BRILLIANT!!

I now hold only the greatest esteem for both you and your connction.(why not!)

I see it all now!..seriously.

stronach controls fla....half of calif....maybe n.y.

churchill is 3 years from a possible exit from the left coast...out of fla....losing money and may be going out of control.

I know the answer...really..wait a second...stronach has hired the guy that got the republicans in the white house for all of the 21st century. people think arnold is trying to re-set the bar for becoming pres.,when all the time he\'s
just a puppet for stronach!!!!

Fla.,N.Y.,Calif.....anyone know whats going on in Ohio??

Davidrex  Only point I was making was the nyra situation. Ease up there must be threads that you have seen in your lifetime that are \"The dumbest.  Crazy that one of the things heard has been verified. I never stated that either one of the comments made sense.

Sorry rondo,
Tried to make situation into a satire...my apologies if taken in any way personally.
