Title: Alex to Cup?
Post by: Chuckles_the_Clown2 on September 30, 2005, 04:40:52 PM
Just listened to Tim Ritchey and if Alex continues to progress (Breezed Today) Five furlongs in 59.4 change, galloping out in 1.13, he\'s Classic Bound.

Tend to Doubt he\'s quite up to St. Liam but he makes it very rough on the others if he goes.

I listened also to that show and Ritchey sounds really really excited. I agree about Saint Liam (AA might help SL\'s odds also). Should be interesting to see if he goes to Keeneland or Meadowlands (Turf), I have always wanted to see/bet AA on turf

I hope Alex Goes. For sure he will attract betting dollars and make for a more interesting race to bet.

NC Tony

PS Channing Hill!!!

Alex will still have to get there and St. Liam is a tough nut. Alex is a 10 mark horse though and will be getting two lengths if he makes it.

Yes, I\'ve seen Hill\'s return to \"action\" the last two days. He won one today when he was on the better horse in a four horse field. Probably worked out to his benefit missing the Saratoga meet.

Note the wide rides with weight he should have won where he got beat by jockeys saving ground. (One at 25-1 :) )

Those trainers had those ponies ready and you have to be figure they are disappointed they lost.

Not sure what his win percentage is. Probably about 15%. It won\'t stay there.  Bet him at about 11-1. He\'ll be gone with the bug.
