Kitten\'s Joy to pass the Arc and run in Hirsch
By DAVID GRENING

....Ramsey continued, \"Then, I started thinking that if we went over there, we would have to get a French jockey, no medication, have him run on an up and down course. Then factor in the trip over, quarantine, and the trip back, and he would be a knocked-out horse for Japan.\"

No medication and a detention barn (i.e., quarantine)...you cannot be serious!

Awwww come on D.D. just dopey owner/trainer speak. Those issues were known long before he announced plans for an Atlantic crossing.

Truth be told, the real reason Ramsey isn\'t going: K.J. would get clocked in the Arc and isn\'t a bonafide 12f runner. His only win at 12f in last years Turf Classic was against mules. Better Talk Now doesn\'t conjure up visions of Daylami in the BC Turf [one of the weakest fields in the history of the event].

Don\'t be surprised if KJ is entered in the BC Mile, if he isn\'t retired by then.

KJ reminds me of Cigar - a brilliant job of running against inferior or weakened competition...but it took a longer time to get the better of Cigar, first with Dare and Go and then Sonny\'s horse.

I am not a fan of the horse nor the owner, and both he and Mr. Wygod should avoid all microphones and reporters.  But I found it amusing that Dr. Allday\'s main man would call attention to any medication or detention barn issue...but as you say, it\'s all after the fact.

Common Del Deb- Cigar did win the BC Classic once but you can claim he ran a well managed 15 straight win campaign.

As for Kittens Joy..what if the horse is really a bleeder? Would you run your horse without lasix? Especially one worth as much in the breeding shed as this one. Diasdain for Ramsey is permitted.

Sometimes we all need to get real on this board.
