Has anyone else seen his article on the Bloodhorse site? He states that betting revenues will be down for the first time in 5 years(no shit, when you cutting off rebate shops what do you expect). He states tracks don\'t have the know how to reward their customer. Well maybe they should quickly find that know how before they lose all their customers!! Who the hell wants to go to the track, pay $20 to get their, have to fight for an outlet for your computer and deal with rude employees. This guy and the tracks don\'t get it, it\'s call customer service. If tracks want customers, give a frequent reward card and rebates, then people will be flocking to the tracks, otherwise the trend will continue all the way to the bottom.
man, everyone is right on target tonight...good points, O...my wife and I travel to the big tracks several times a year for the experience - not really expecting a big score at all - and we love it! But the things you point out will ruin the game and make it a straight \"home\" game via the video route. Say what you wnat about Stronach - his tracks have other things to offer a family besides vulgar, unshaven losers who dont\' really understand what they are doing at the track. Let\'s face it - there is only KNLD, Sar, and DM - CD on certain wkends - but if you want to have fun outside of the obvious (forgot GP!) ones, try a little wkend track like Lone Star for things to entertain outside of the racing. Oaklawn is great during the festival of the South.
I didn\'t read Paulick\'s piece, but a little birdie told me that a certain Del Mar debutante wrote them a letter in response that they will be running.
