I haven\'t been able to get to the track this weekend, so I\'ve been forced to watch the satellite TV channel I call Totally Vulgar and Gross (aka TVG).
Vic Stauffer was one of the studio hosts the past several days. What a breath of fresh air! He\'s funny, he\'s informative, he knows his stuff (plus, he very smoothly worked in some nice plugs for Thoro-Graph).
Vic is, by far, the best on-camera presence they\'ve ever had. I mean, he is 20 lengths the best!
If management of that satellite channel (it\'s so laughable that they call themselves a \"network.\" Does anyone really equate TVG with, say, NBC?) had any brains, they would find a way to keep Vic at least through Oak Tree.
Probably wishful thinking, though...clearly, TVG management has always been clueless.
Stu
vic posts all the time at trackchampion, he seems like a very down to earth person.
Had a chance to meet him at Pleasanton (he called No Cal racing for several years) and he was a very courteous, classy guy. I enjoy his race calls a lot and also notice the Thorograph references when he is on TVG. More Stauffer and less Schrupp would be a good thing.
When Bailey and his agent request to ride a horse, what do they see?? Do they look at Thorograph figures, notice a bad ride, etc...
