Title: Calder scraped the track
Post by: miff on July 11, 2005, 06:42:43 AM
JB,

Anyone who follows CALDER will tell you that the surface was scraped and produced very fast raw times for CALDER.Just another example of racetracks doing something \"more\" to the surface on big race days.

lost in the fog can can run 6f in 1:07.1 over a really fast surface. he ran 1:09.30 yesterday. woke up dreamin can run 1:08.1 over a fast surface. he ran 1:09.80 yesterday. madcap escapade can run 1:08.2 over a fast surface. she ran 1:09.9 yesterday. calder is generally a slow surface, and they may have had it souped up a bit yesterday, but those are good 6f horses. don\'t automatically chalk up the fast times to track condition. i do agree though, most of the tracks have had their surfaces very quick on the big days this year.

Those were very fast times for Calder, so it was juiced.

Should have seen it when the old Tartan surface was below the cushion. Some days a 1.11 was smokin...lol
