Title: ROTW
Post by: spa on July 08, 2005, 05:50:24 PM
The sleeper is Nightmare Affair. Shippers going from North to South are up against it. Add all the speed and a local horse should do very well. I\'ll go against TG numbers in the exacta for this one......... Don Six/Nightmare Affair

What does the \"s\" symbol after sy[sloppy] mean on Nigtmare Affairs sheet?

Another new feature--It means the track was sealed for that race. The superscript \"s\" appears after the track condition notation in the race summaries and on the sheet. Equibase trackmen collect and transmit the data and we display it.

You bring up a good point ( even if your trying to be silly or what ) alot of non-sheets players will go so this horse just ran a monster race in his last and he should have bounce, where are all the sheets players now. Horse\'s can bounce and still win, and if their last race has a large adv. over the others he might  win. The thing is are you going to take short odds on some horses to bounce 1 or 3 or 8pts. I always play these horses on top of my key horse just in case.

Its hard to say if he bounced or not, I would imagine it will get a similiar number with the ground loss, though I think he got a perfect trip and ride.

I was just messing, he had alot of bounce to his sheet and cant blame anyone thinking he could go backwards.  Goes to show that these are horses and are completely unpredictable.  Would not be the first time baffert has gotten an older sprinter to get good in a hurry.

Yes Baffert has a good track record with older sprinters, but its hard to give him much credit here... he probably hasn\'t seen or touched this horse in 5 weeks.

Wondering how winner was bet down ...having only seen his sheet #s,horse looks like a bounce waitng to happen.
Kudos to Alan [or whoever did the review]for stepping out against the winner. We just know it will be shoved in your face by irate players down the road[track].

The winner was a bet against at 8-5, agreed.

But lets save the \"kudos\" for when an opinion against a favorite, doesn\'t result in the favorite winning in a cakewalk......
