Title: Pimlico Pick 4
Post by: JEB on May 20, 2005, 01:48:27 PM
This looks real interesting. I like Cool Conductor a little in the Dixie. His run at Churchill on Derby day was impressive. His DQ was a shame b/c he was clearly the best. At 15-1 on the morning line, the best thorograph fig, and a visually impressive finish, he looks like a potential bomb to me.

GOOD REWARD coming out of the same race. I was hoping for a firm turf, but with it soft on Saturday I think BTN will be tough.

Maybe too much weight for ARTIE to spot on this kind of turf. Mile at KEE prep last year set up GOOD RWD nicely for big effort in HOLLYWD Derby.

Good Luck,
joe B.

Good Reward is getting 6 pounds and picking up distance on Artie, should be a good play.

No tops in 14 tries at Pimlico for Shug.

Reel Legend looks like an outstanding single for pk 4\'s in the Sir Barton which has a bad 5-2 ml favorite.

Tinseltown, who was beaten a neck by Reel Legend on 4/8/05, came back and won a restricted stake at Bel Friday.

Richiebee:

I feel that Reel Legend is a must use in the Pick Four. However, I am more interested in another horse for both the gimmick and a straight bet. His name is Killenaule.

Killenaule has not duplicated his black type form as a three year old. In fact, his form this year has been dreadful. I contend that this is about to change. This contention is based upon Pletcher\'s success with freshened horses and Killenaule\'s recent works at Delaware Park. In particular, I would note his half mile bullet of 48 that he recorded on May 15. The three furlong bullet that day  was 41 and the five furlong bullet was 1:01 4/5! The next fastest work at four furlongs was 50. Hence, Killenaule\'s 48, which seems unremarkable at first glance, is quite good and may suggest his return to form.

Do any of you with expertise in Tgraph analysis have an opinion on Killenaule? I would very much like to hear your views.

Albany -
A return to form won\'t get him there. He\'ll need to improve significantly and have a handful of the others not fire their best shot.

thats the way I saw Killenaule, he needs a signifigant move forward, and with the connections he will be overbet.

JEB,

Good call on Cool Conductor.  11-1 on a horse with a fast figure in a 5 horse field was a great price.

Pretty much guarantees a good price in the pick 4.

great pick jeb, and well done with the last race number TG. can\'t say i\'m alive you some of you though. coming back on two weeks rest for a new trainer scared me away. i expect to see a few winners when i check the analysis tomorrow. i hit the early double, but have handicapped poorly since then. that CC race is killing me.
