This guy thinks so:

TGJB apparently thinks so too. Sounds like hes gonna score the top two finishers with Zeds. 4.2 and 3.1 point tops respectively, implying it wasn\'t all bounce and pace that beat the Fab Four, but rather these two relatively light pedigreed horses advanced to a figure which was competitive to win this race in most years.
2005-0
2004-Neg 1.3
2003-1.2
2002-Neg 0.2
2001-Neg 0.3
2000-2.3
1999-3.2
1998-3.3
1997-2.3
The really interesting question is this:
\"If the oversight and supertest eliminated the key performance enhancing drugs why did these two horses not regress to the year 2000 and earlier winning figures?, which coincidentally were their approximate performance tops coming in.\"
By 2001 the assault upon record figures had begun.
Wayne Lukas guaranteed Giacomo would not wnt the Triple Crown. Those Zed\'s are padded large on wides of course, but if they are legitimate Zeds, Lukas could be looking rather foolish.

Good chance Giacomo will go off at longer odds than usual for a Derby winner. If he ran a 1, that\'s a 3 point jump, not too bad. He could pair or move forward next out and he ain\'t facing much. The concern here would be his lack of early speed. Should be a good betting race.
I\'m wondering what the longest a Derby winner has ever been in the Preakness...
Charismatic was 8-1 wasn\'t he? I can\'t imagine someone being that long in recent history.

Chuckles,
Sorry, but I feel compelled. \"I told you so\", with regards to the DErby figures. No \"3\'s\". \"Around zero\".
For those that are wondering about Giacomo\'s price, the offshore price right now is 8 to 1 on him to win the Preakness and 18 to 1 on the Triple Crown.

If you gave Closing Argument a 2 for the Derby, everyone else falls off the face of the earth because of the padded wide. If you give him a Zed is that figure consistent with an effective oversight and supertesting policy?
Additionally, the wide path may not have been the impediment wide usually is.
So there may be some variables to sift through and evaluate before the Preakness
By the way, anyone that hasn\'t viewed the Derby and Oaks seminar its really great quality. 2.6 mb download for the viewer. Proxtor or something like that.

Anyone wanting to bet those Triple Crown odds call me I\'m booking everything.
Three races three different winners.
\"Wayne Lukas guaranteed Giacomo would not wnt the Triple Crown.\"
If that\'s true, I guarantee that Wayne Lukas will be right about something at least one more time in his life.
If this horse wins the TC I\'ll eat pile of dog ****!
Giacomo may never win another race...
What was Ferdinand?
