Does anybody pay any attention to the workouts this week and the comments posted on the DRF website. There were some very interesting workouts this am including High Limit/Ghostzapper working in tandem. I am trying to make a case for Sun King in the exacta and want to be encouraged by today\'s work but does it really have any importance?
The interesting point about the works was Zapper bearing out on both turns forcing High Limit wide.

Didn\'t Zapper do that in his races prior to the Breeders Cup? I recal the St Liam Race as one.
I dont really understand what the other posters were saying Gowand. To me the significance of the work is a possible application of another rating gambit. Frankel put High Limit outside of Ghostsprinters flank and had him finish him late. Thats how I read it, but I\'ll wait to see if theres a final work before I draw my wagering conclusions.
As far as Sun King hitting the exacta, thats gonna have to be your call. The best work of the day appeared to be between him and High Limit. The track was on the slow side. The Bluegrass was a very strange race. The question is what to do with it.

I can\'t put any stock in either work.High Limit always works well and Ghostzapper wasn\'t exactly given his head according to the reports.Next Saturday,High Limit is going to have to sustain his speed against some faster animals going a distance he might not want. Its not like High Limit ran a dud at Keeneland. He ran his race and had no problem with the surface or trip trouble.I don\'t buy into the theory that Frankel didn\'t have him cranked for the BG.It was a million dollar pot and Frankel doesn\'t prep.I don\'t expect any major improvement in the Derby.
Sun King worked against two real donkey 3 yo\'s from Zito\'s barn.Trying to get him some confidence according to reports. He might not be a bad use in the Preakness, but I have to let him beat me for the tri in this one.
You got that reversed in the Saint Liam - Ghostzapper race. Saint Liam was bearing out very badly and carried Ghostzapper out.
Ghostzapper has not done that in any race that I have seen of his (and I have seen almost all)
Jimbo,
Thanks for the clarification, now that you say it I think I remember it that way too.
