I second that request...
Considering that we are dealing with a potential Triple Crown horse, it would be nice to know if there is some sort of historical pattern that might predict how he\'ll do. He got past the \"Balto Star\" hurdle, so who else does he resemble?
I heard somewhere that if War Emblem doesn\'t win the Belmont, that people will never consider him a \"great\" horse. Considering the figures he\'s popped off, that\'s really unfair to the horse and his connections.
Also, does anyone know what is gonna happen with the $1M bonus from SPT? I heard the dispute is going to court...
If WE does not win the Belmont, and does not back up his spring performances against older horses in the fall, there is simply no way anybody could consider him a \"great horse\". I am not saying he is not capable of doing these things, but I think it is quite obvious that he must if you are to include him with the real great ones.
I suppose you\'re right, but I think lots of people hold horses like Easy Goer and Fu Peg with much higher regard then War Emblem, yet War Emblem has already accomplished more than what those 2 did -- IMHO.
Accomplished more than Easy Goer? Ouch!!! That one really hurt. I understand your point, though, every year people say there is a great one (FuPeg a great example), and WE has already done more than most of them. I will put him in the \"very good\" category for now, subject to an upgrade in two weeks.

IMO, One race does or should not make or break a horses reputation. It\'s a long year and whatever happens June 8th. It\'s just one performance. But if WE runs another 1 or better with thoese bone chips we\'ll I just don\'t know... just hope he\'ll be around.
