War Emblem looked just as impressive galloping out after the Preakness as he did in the Derby!!!
Magic Weisner won\'t change leads and hits the ground hard like Arazi. The fact the he was running 5\'s and 4\'s prior to this race makes me suspect that War Emblem may have bounced slightly. Even if MW did change leads, he still wasn\'t gonna get War Emblem.
There is no competition out there and WE looks pretty damn close to a cinch to win the triple crown. He\'ll have to beat himself to loose or the jock will have to screw up like Stevens did with Silver Charm.

I also think War Emblem demonstated Saturday that he is capable of the Triple Crown. He ran fast early. He ran off the lead. He ran off a stretch challenger and then he held off a closer and never let the closer get past him after the wire. He was under restraint during the majority of the trip.
They will take shots at him again in the Belmont. Lukas will have his rabbit. Maybe Menacing Dennis will run crazy again. Maybe Frankel will double dose Medaglia two hours before the race and put Arcaro up. Nothings sure and at 5-2 in similar circumstances, I didn\'t have a dime on War Emblem to win.
I also think Captain Bodgit beats Silver Charm once out of every two races they meet if he\'s healthy so I was kind of glad Silver didn\'t win it that year. I never felt he was a deserving Triple Crown Champion candidate. WE on the other hand has demonstrated the others aren\'t in his ballpark...but then so did Spectacular Bid at this point.

As expected, WE got the trip, and considering
he caught a drying-out racetrack, showed
great heart at the finish! Speed and heart
are dangerous things on the racetrack, but
he won\'t win the Belmont unless the skies
open up. If it\'s sloppy, he might win by
15 just as \'Ceilo did for Woody all those
years ago...
