Title: McGaughey 3 for 3
Post by: NoCarolinaTony on March 19, 2005, 09:48:49 PM
O for Gulfstream 3 for 3 today at the Big A with the Mig. He bitched about the surface not being fair at Gulfstream to off the pace type types. Based on todays results he might be right.

Watch for Gulfstream off the pace runners when ship elswhere.

It is a conditioning issue not a surface issue.

Jerkins did this for years.

The money is better and the competition is much easier up north.

SC-

How long does that last till Easter? FLa Derby? after the GSP meet concludes and   they all ship north? Or Until after the Keeneland meet?

I am not a Shug fan myself but you have to admit, it\'s kind of ironic to win with 3 for 3 after being sooooo bad. Maybe its the Drug testing ?

The guy typically doens\'t make those kind of statements (about GSP Dirt Course)without some truth to it.I respect your opionion, but after watching GSP replays daily, I hav not scene many (any) off the pace types win since early in the meet down there.

Actually Shug was 3/4. He saddled Salute in the Cicada Stakes, a race won by Dixie Talking.

Congrats TGJB, there cant be any knocks on the ROTW this week.

Congrats Michael D on the bomb in the Muniz in NO. This race, going back to when it was the Explosive Bid Hcp, has produced some real big mutuels.

Anyone see the race Byanosejoe ran in the Gotham? He finished like a wild horse on the rail which may not have been the best part of the course. Will be interested to see his TG #.

Also in the Gotham, I\'ve been watching NYRA racing daily since 1978. Does anyone remember a Phipps horse ever being DQ\'d?

I didn\'t print the form yesterday and watched the race replays on TV and heard 3 for 3 with the Mig so- Thanks for the correction. Wish TB action would list both trainers and jockeys on the show.... The other programs do.

Anyway, he did have a good day though.

Till the first of May in NY.

The ones leaving early are doing so for a reason. Same reason why the inner dirt types seem to disappear by mid-april.

Maybe not at all in Ky because they come from so many different tracks.
