if my math is right, he ran 5 lengths faster than sis city, 10 lengths faster than bandini, and ONLY 3 LENGTHS slower than roses in may. if i owned this guy, i would rest him a bit, crank him up for the blue grass, then bring him to the derby.

those GP turns are huge. i would imagine they lose more ground when they run wide than they do at FG or Pim. do you account for this?

Michael-- the short answer to this is that they don\'t. The formula for ground loss involves pi times the ADDITIONAL diameter, and a path is a path. Longer conversation Monday, if you want.
