The World Series contest at the Orleans is much tougher to track than The NTRA/DRF contest last week, since I can\'t find standings on-line, and you don\'t have to qualify for this one by doing well in an earlier tournament. This means a) there is no list of qualifiers we can check against, and b) anybody who can afford to enter gets in. We do know of 19 of our players in the contest (out of 800 or so), and there may be a few more downloading. Vegas is hard core Ragozin country (we don\'t sell there, they do), and our man on the scene estimates there are somewhere between 50 and 100 Ragozin players in the tourney.
Do me proud, guys.
...we band of brothers.
The first Sunshine Millions race was won by the fastest horse (fastest top) in the race, which paid $44. At least 3 of our guys in the World Series contest (regular posters here), all of whom were already in contention (they had all hit the $36 horse at AQU earlier) hit this one as well.
This could really be quite a couple of weeks.
Final contest results are not in, and there are plays still open, but I\'m going to go out on a limb and say that if either Marwood or Zakocity, both of whom had buried marks next to their last, had won their photos, one of our guys would have won the whole thing. It looks like they will take home some prize money, but ouch.
Good Luck to your guys.
I\'m gonna have to have a look at the Red Board to see if I should have had TFigs for that race. I didn\'t factor Zakocity as high as others seem to have had him. He\'s obviously a horse not missing time and improving right along.
I can\'t believe that wire job. Just didn\'t figure it at all. I\'m pretty sure they ran quick early and that type of pace was out of character for the winner. Mida\'s collapse at the second turn indicates they were motoring. He went extra fast with that huge wide early. You gotta luv it when Frankel takes a dump. Its more rewarding to cash then though...lol

he looked good on TG. nice hidden # last made him competitive. with the nice post and the tactical speed....... it\'s to bad he couldn\'t get up, seems like a few guys here would have collected big. the winner was tough to come up with.
Interesting your ad was placed right directly below Hot Storm\'s chart in the DRF. Mere coincidence, hmmmm.
The fact that so many users of your product are out there endorsing your name, winning handicapping contests and or referencing TG in some kind of pre-race analysis is a testament to the hard work and shop you have built TGJB. Market share is not easy to come by because people are creatures of habit.
If OPM was one of those guys tell him congrats, that crew has been on a roll.
Who was it that said contest bad beats are worse than betting bad beats? If he wasn\'t saying it before, OPM should be saying it now. It will be interesting to read his take on things, but after everything that happened the last 3 days, to come up a neck short because of a unlucky trip in a turf race, then lose by a nose to a 70-1 shot, in back to back races no less, was an awfully tough way for things to end. Still, to finish ninth out of 800 in a 1st appearance isn\'t too shabby, to put it mildly.
In the picnic scene, Fast Eddie Felson, holding up his recently broken thumbs, tries to explain to his girlfriend what it\'s like when he\'s playing pool at the top of his game, comparing it to a perfectly timed & executed race ride. His point is that it doesn\'t matter what you\'re doing, if you know that you\'re doing it the way it is supposed to be done. I don\'t know if OPM & the rest of the \"crew\",as you put it, had that feeling the last 3 days. They should.
I second the congrats to OPM. It was a pretty wild three days and with a little racing luck in the last few races today, OPM might have been on top of that leader board.
Chris
It was a long hard 3 days but kudos to my teammates and TG for making this possible. After a wild ride, we finished up with two tickets in the top ten. Oh what might have been if either Marwood or Zakocity won their photos...

Or what might have been if we could have gotten bets in on 2 horses that were not done secondary towhat I will call \"technical difficulties\"!!!!. I know there is no better tool for turf racing than TG and if this was a summer tournament we could have really cleaned up. However, since this was our first tournament and we finished 9 & 10, it is really some accomplishment. I want to thank all you guys for all the hard work and want to apologize for not bringing home home the bacon on 3 days of simply spectacular handicapping. Long live the fab four. I also want to personally thank Bill Spillane for getting the sheets out there to us. Obviously, a tournament like this requires comprehensive handicapping and TG helps to lead you in the right direction. I also have to thank Alan for calling me at home on Tuesday to make sure I would have everything in place for a good showing. Jerry, you should be proud of the last 2 weeks.
Given the two photos you guys lost, I think Mall has the wrong line from \"The Hustler\".
George Scott, at the end, shouting-- \"You owe me MONEY\".
I\'ll have more to say about the World Series contest when the full results are posted-- pretty amazing that information is not available.
I found the top 10 standings posted here

Yeah, I talked to them, and they\'re going to send me the longer list later this week. That list has a slight error-- two of our guys tied for tenth, one is not listed.
