Title: Sovereignty
Post by: MO on October 28, 2025, 09:20:32 AM
As per breakfast at the BC, Mott says Sovereignty spiked a fever. On the fence now and may not run. (And if he does, worth noting Mott is 4% at DMR).

Based on the Breeders\' Cup events at Del Mar in 2017 and 2021, Godolphin\'s combined win percentage was approximately 28.6%.

I\'m surprised nothing has been mentioned about Brad Cox only having two entries. He must be getting his stable ready for the 2026 Fall Meet at Keeneland.

Hello Silver,

I wanted to know why Mystik Dan is going in the Mile instead of the Classic.

Sorry if this has been sorted out before. I can\'t keep up with everything.

Hey Gary GL this weekend. I actually think he is better suited for a Mile than a Mile and a Quarter. Goldencents

He got there Derby Day but barely. They loved him Arlington Million Day. Yea it was grass but he didn\'t have that turn of foot and didnt finish.

He is a really nice horse. Not as good as Sierra Leone and Forever Young who he beat Derby Day. Fierceness he did beat Derby Day but that one didnt fire at all. These horses are better and so is Mindframe. He has a chance in the Mile.  Kenny made the correct call. As they say \"he is well spotted\"

Thanks for your thoughts.

I feed off other opinions. I like 3 Goal Oriented (6-1) and hope the ML is off. He has lost 3 times in a row for Flavien and Irad. I hope for longer odds.
Of course the sire is a hook, as are his numbers. Family of Lady Eli and going farther back, Blushing Groom. If there are negatives, please tell me.

Speaking of Baffert, his Saturday horses in the BC Races:

Splendora:  Last raced Sept. 1
Hope Road:  Last raced Aug. 23.  2nd race off a layoff since May, 2025.
Richi:  Last raced Sept. 28.  3RD OFF A LAYOFF.
Imagination:  Last raced Sept. 28.  2nd off a layoff since Jan, 2025.
Seismic Beauty:  Last raced Aug. 2.  That was her first race since May, 2025.  Near 90 days since her last.
Nevada Beach:  Last raced Sept. 27.  2nd off a layoff since June, 2025.  5th career start facing older as the \"Other, Other, Other 3yo\" of the Classic group.
Goal Oriented:  Last Raced Sept. 20.  2nd off a layoff since July, 2025.
Nysos:  Last raced July 26.
Citizen Bull:  Last raced Aug.31.  Prior race was June 7th.

Mandella:

Tamara:  Last raced Oct.4, 2nd off layoff since Nov, 2024
Kopion:  Last raced Aug. 2nd
Big City Lights:  Last raced Jan 18.  Has only lost to 4 horses in his career.  The Chosen Vron, Raging Torrent, Happy Jack and Dr. Venkman who is in the race.  Not a bad list for a Cal bred.

Blacker:

Straight No Chaser:  Last raced Sept. 28, 2nd off a layoff since April, 2025 (lame in front leg after that April race)

______________

California trainers bringing in their Dirt horses FRESH except for Richi.  I am making the assumption this is by design and that these horses are fit, ready, and dangerous b/c of whatever the current rules of the game are these days.  I am not allowing the layoffs to influence my decisions.

I actually think he has a fighters chance in the mile.
