NYRA and Twin Spires are apparently now in the midst of a pissing contest that would make Saratoga unavailable on Twin Spires today if it is not resolved. HRN is following the story.
They keep this shit up and nobody’s going to be around when it’s all said and done. The racing programs already suck pretty bad with small fields and few good betting opportunities. This lemon doesn’t have that much juice left in it.
And what is beyond stupid is DK Horse, which is a Twinspires clone, identical in everything except the name, is taking wagers.
So is Capital OTB which uses the Twin Spires platform. When I make a deposit, it says Churchill Downs.
If Capital OTB stopped taking bets on Saratoga, the locals around here would burn the OTBs down.
I think Twin Spires just handles the operational side for DK Horse, which is of course an offshoot of a large sports betting company. 1st has a similar relationship with DRF Bets, but 1st can take bets on CDI tracks and DRF Bets cannot.
I was thinking this morning how typical of horse racing it would be if you could not bet the DK Horse-sponsored Travers on DK Horse, but I guess that\'s not in the cards.
I count both Twin Spires and NYRA Bets among my ADW accounts, so this dispute doesn\'t really inconvenience me. From their promotion schedule this weekend and the comments from CDI\'s CEO, it feels like Twin Spires is willing to let this drag on for a while.
I was thinking the same thing about the Travers & the sponsor when I checked to see if DK Horse as accepting Saratoga!
With all this account wagering mess as of late from Fan Dual to Twin Spires to NYRA, etc., a friend inquired if there are any good signup bonus options still out there for new accounts? Any suggestions?
