Title: Shots Fired in the Acorn
Post by: Silver Charm on June 01, 2024, 09:25:21 AM
So I\'m hearing a certain speed figure business advised Winstar to buy 50% of My Mane Squeeze. A very confident winner of the Eight Belles on Kentucky Oaks Day. And looking at that pattern (back to Back 3-s, the bounce, and then a New Top) she was a good bet and probably buy. Except I bought Derby Day Sheets not Oaks because I was at the Track. That is a Spring 3YO pattern that had worked for many years.

But beating Thorpedo Anna?  Around two turns? The Fantasy can be excused. The last figure a 2 is as fast as any 3YO Filly around except 1. Will Anna go in the Belmont or the Acorn? I have no idea. What I do know is the Trainer said she is better than Colt. The Colt who won the Kentucky Derby and nearly the Prwaknesa..

The Belmont with Fierceness now out got a little less speedy. But there is still a decent amount of Gas in there so it looks like it\'s Sierra Leones race to lose considering if all of Browns excuses are fixed. But he won\'t save ground and he will still lug in and......I know who I like. If she goes!!

McPeek said this morning she is going in the Acorn and Dan in the Belmont.

City of Troy will be pointed to the Travers after today\'s win at Epsom.

Thanks. If Just FYI goes then the Acorn will be a solid race.

A lot better than solid. A lot better than the Belmont.

Would have been fine by me if TA ran against the boys.
