Just curious what weather forecast you saw.  Up-to-date forecast from The Weather Channel for Saratoga -

Thurs 71% chance of showers
Fri 58%
Sat 54%

But I do hope for a fast track.

AccuWeather has sunny Friday Saturday Sunday. Weather underground has significant rain all three days. Go figure. Only occupation you can be wrong half the time and keep your job.

I dunno. Everybody on racing tv except Maggie is wrong more than half the time.

Very true TGJB, I guess major league hitters, shooting guards and a few others
qualify as well. It just is annoying to me that forecasts can be that different only a few days out.

Yes, by Wednesday.

I haven’t seen any of the Saturday races other than the Belmont, but I have looked at Friday, and there are most definitely some very playable races. Especially the four stakes.

It\'s due to an upper-level low pivoting through NY state. The models are weak at handling this type of situation which is why different models are saying different things and flip-flopping day to day.

Best bet for a wash out rain up there is Thursday. From what I saw this morning there\'s a good chance it\'s out of there by Saturday.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

I\'m probably on the optimistic side but the rain moving in from Ohio and Western Pa is spotty. Yes it could flare up and get worse but the doppler right now looks encouraging.

Wet coming in yes. A flood? Maybe not
