Title: BC Mile Numbers
Post by: analizethis on November 03, 2023, 03:18:03 AM
At 4:46 on October 7 at Keeneland the First left the gate. Gina Romantica won that one mile race in a time of 1:33.70,

At 5:50 on October 7 at Keeneland the Coolmore Mile left the gate. Master of the Seas and Up to the Mark finished in a head bob at the wire in 1:34.18 for their one mile race.

Gina Romantica carried 124 pounds and Master of the Seas carried 126 pounds. According to the sheet the filly and the colt each ran in the 1 path on each turn.

Master of the Seas earned a number .75 better than GR when based on the facts of the races above it looks to me like GR should have earned between 1.5 point and 1.75 points better.

What am I missing?

Thanks.

In response to the same question from someone who will be on tv today I reviewed those two races yesterday and they’re definitely right. Longer answer some other time.
