Post by: Tavasco on October 17, 2023, 06:27:43 AM
For some unknown reason, considering they each have whay appears to be a serious contender, seems like the race for Speaker Of The House?

What does White Abarrio run after his last number, which was huge? Does he pair up or bounce? Dutrow is giving him plenty of time between that effort and the BCC. If he pairs up, they are all running for second.

This is not Dutrows first rodeo, I expect the horse to
run well and feel like he will be a bit overlooked with all the hype on
the 3 year olds. An early read would make him my win bet and key at
possibly overlaid odds. Looking forward to a great breeders cup and TGJB
seminar. At least we shouldnt have to worry about track and turf conditions.
LETS HOPE!

I am only considering two American contenders at the moment.

White Abbario.  His last is fast enough to win the race and he won\'t go favored.  Horses out of his last have certainly flattered that race.

Arcangelo.  Forget the numbers for a moment and possible low odds.  Go back and watch all SIX of his replays including the gallop outs and get back to me about what you think of this horse.

Now the Japanese may send a contender or two for me to consider.  I\'ve watched their replays I could find but hard to make definitive opinions.

The Classic is not where my strongest opinion is at for BC.  There is a real X factor I\'m considering as my key for Saturday.

I love a good mystery so I will try and psyche the Saturday X horse over the next couple of weeks.

However, after reading your post, those of others and my observations all of my impressions of Arcangelo are positive except how will he he handle a fast pace?.

This years Classic looks to me to have a wealth of quality front runners my concern is will that help or hinder the 3 y/o New York shipper\'s and apparent early betting favorite\'s chances.

Often a hot pace is thought to help a late running stamina type, yet in the top tiers it often turn out the closers just end up with too much ground to make up late. Conversely, when horses are faced with a pace significantly faster than previously handled they become non-competitive.

This is a strategy Baffert has used with a lot of success and both Japanese horses have been known to run off and hide. I don\'t think the Classic will be anything like the New York races. Not to mention the climate. Whew!

Who is riding? Saint Javier stays I suppose. I call him Saint because he rarely does anything wrong. Was it BC when he caused Calvin B. to loose his mind?

So I watched all of Arcangelos races & hif gallops out after each race. Runs strong through to the wire and past it, all on his own. He looks great visually, and is at the top of is crop. Will he improve on his figs is the question.
It will definitely take a negative number to win & he has never ran one. And the figure the Dutrow horse ran is almost Flightline territory. If White Abbario\'s Whitney was a true measure of the horse, he can regress 4-5 points & still win.
So can White Abbario get the distance and can Arcangelo improve 3 points is my conundrum.

Hey John, the figures I mention are derived from a second hand source , from a blog I read and a podcast I listen to. I do not have there figures for the horses last race, and they are derived from those sources, and I make a mental note of them. I don’t want to post the links with respect to the TG.

What will White Abbario go off at that’s my question

The BCBC betting challenge is that weekend also, and depending how the players do, the churn into the pools might be higher, morning line I think he will be second-third choice.

He bounced 5 points. Good call, Roman.

I was reminded of your comments when looking at SENOR BUSCADOR in the Cigar Mile. He ran his number, but couldn\'t overcome the trip (4w4w).

Thanks Prist, I like Senor Buscador in the Cigar Mile, I think the one turn will help him out a lot, and since he is always so wide, one less turn to be wide in.

How about Applebey\'s horse at Del Mar, think he will move forward off his last, going to use him and Chads horse that got beat by Integration, Program Trading, ran a huge number last and lot a time between that effort & this race,

Who do you like in the mile?

As of now I like HIGH OAK. I think he runs a new top on Thoro-Graph. The price is right going off the ML. Looks like a horse I can key in the trifecta/Super.

Offaly Cool looks usable at 20/1, don’t like the vet scratch, but think he likes a fast track on dirt, if you look past his synthetic form and turf / off tracks.
Will use those three in whatever I play, Senor Buscador and High Oak.

The Remsen looks like a great race also. Lot of big dollar purchases. Going to box Copper Tax with the Dutrow horse Where’s Chris. Will use Dornoch a bit also.

Not sure High Oak wants to go this far vs these. But you\'ll get paid if you\'re right.

Quite a cast of characters in this one led by the CT magician Jeff Runco.

Good Luck,
