Does anyone know if Andy Beyer is ok? Very little output in the last few months , at least online in the DRF and the Washington Post. Last column 8/3.
He accepted a retirement offer from the Post and thus no longer works there. He will do a column from time to time.
Still living off of CAJUN BEAT and the SWALE/PINE CIRCLE exacta in the 1984 Belmont Stakes.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Good Luck,
Joe B.
Say what you want about Beyer but the inclusion of his numbers in the DRF has cost us Sheet players a ton of money over the years. Obvious sheet plays (especially number power plays) that used to go off at 4 or 5 to one now are usually favorites due to the Beyer Numbers. Asfufh
