A legend has passed away. RIP, \"Jonathan.\" Thank you for the memories. I had forgotten he trained:
STORM CAT (PA)
Foaled February 27, 1983 (STORM BIRD - TERLINGUA, by SECRETARIAT)
\"One measure of Sheppard\'s success was his record at one of the most difficult places in the world to win a horse race, Saratoga Race Course. Sheppard won at least one race at Saratoga for an unprecedented 47 straight years, through 2015. The New York Racing Association named one of its two grade 1 steeplechase races at Saratoga for him in 2021.\"

Impressed me as one of the good guys. I routinely played his turf runners because I trusted the were fit and honestly entered even though maybe not best. He also trained Graham Motion (I read). RIP.
Didn\'t someone clone Storm Cat ?
Thanks, Roman. I did not know that. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
What'd they do with it?
From what I remember, they cloned him twice and one died, the TJC does not allow cloning or artificial insemination, so they were using the clone to breed to other breeds. Storm Cat also bred some quarter horses by artificial insemination after he was retired from stud duty for tb\'s.
