Title: Maylin
Post by: Fairmount1 on July 15, 2023, 04:41:14 PM
WOW!  Umm....how do NYRA players feel about not having the info Maylin did and the endless other questions about this?  WOW.  I previously posted about Maylin and samples he was keeping that he couldn\'t identify but knew were suspicious.  I couldn\'t find that as the Search Option on this site isn\'t working correctly.

July 11, 2018 was the date of the Dwyer Stakes when people really started to question things about the barn when Firenze Fire won and the wagering was beyond suspect as many who read here still know very well.

Nonetheless, here ya go!

–Previous court documents had included transcripts of a call between Rhein and an unnamed individual affiliated with a drug testing lab in summer 2019 regarding the legality of SGF-1000.

"Either cease and desist or you\'re gonna go to jail," the person told Rhein. "One or the other. What do you want to do? ... I\'m saying if you want to stay out of jail, don\'t use it."

Documents submitted by Servis\' legal team this week have revealed that person allegedly was Dr. George Maylin, director of the New York Equine Drug Testing and Research Laboratory. It\'s not clear from the sentencing memorandum what, if anything, Maylin did with the knowledge that someone on New York racetracks was using a product he\'d advised them was illegal.

Servis\' lawyers say Rhein didn\'t relay that warning to him.

Rhein was eventually sentenced to three years in prison after entering a guilty plea to one count of drug adulteration and misbranding.

Look at what positive testing on the drugs came out as,

Court documents released in September 2021 showed that MediVet provided the RMTC with documentation from Industrial Labs showing the substance was negative for IGF-1 and Follistatin. What MediVet Equine didn\'t tell RMTC was that the testing on SGF-1000 had come back positive for acepromazine, levamisole, detomidine, pyrilamine, lidocaine, MEGX, xylazine, and caffeine.

See a lot of levamisole, lidocaine, xylazine and acepromazine positives lately?

Fairmont-a true story. I was at Belmont day of Firenze Fire's Dwyer win. For those not familiar with what occurred- if my memory serves me correctly - Fire came into the race with a top around 7 or 8. His odds lingered around 5-1 and when gate opened he went off at 5-2. He won by around 9 lengths and I think he ran a negative 4! I had no economic interest in race but was a tad weary of TVG and Maggie fawning over Servis. I found what happened so offensive I sent a detailed email to NYRA, its  principal executives, and the New York State Racing and Wagering Board. I complained about both the remarkable magical improvement in the horse's performance as well as the huge amount of late money. Not surprisingly, there was zero response from NYRA. About 6 months later a received a call from an investigator from New York State Racing and Wagering Board. The investigator apologized that no one had returned my call, and  in a careful manner advised that there were on going investigations but could not discuss further. The rest is history. I do not believe my missive was in any way responsible for the indictments that followed for a Servis, Navarro and others but believe if more fans complained- whether it be about magic potions, CAW unfairness etc. the geniuses that run the game might actually listen a bit more. Horseplayers have to stop being pigs being led to slaughter. That's the state of the game.

Agreed but I think most people have a " don't ask don't tell " opinion

And Golden Gate Fields is closing! But the CAW players will get their rebates while hundreds if not thousands of jobs get wiped away in Northern California.
