Title: Duh!
Post by: Tavasco on June 30, 2023, 04:10:04 PM
As I begin the countdown to SAR opening day of Jul 14, I read the Canadien fires are expected to burn all summer and NYC has the worst air quality in the world this weekend.

If NYC is stricken by Canadien smoke doesn\'t it follow that upstate Saratoga Springs is even more vulnerable? I hope the relevant currents help save the iconic meet.

Update: I have the 11 PM newscast on & the air quality got a lot worse around 3-4 PM today.  So we could be just as bad as NYC if not worse.  We were in the low 100s in the morning & by late afternoon the air quality shot up to over 150.

I live a little south of Albany & the air seemed to be a lot better here than NYC & LI this time.  It was nothing like the last time when I could smell smoke as soon as I went outside.

Also Saratoga opens Thursday 7/13.
