No one can be faulted for liking Newgrange in this race.....Baffert has 8 wins....the horse is undefeated and so on. But there are two others in here that have compelling stories and certainly will have a lot more value.
If you give Chasing Time credit for his short races, credit that is for having some speed, but concentrate on his longer 7 and 8 furlong races, in which he dominated and had closing fractions that excel in this field.... you might want to give this guy a chance to win at a better price.
If you look hard at Barber Road who sold for $15,000 as a weanling but has done nothing but improve in decent company so far.... you might come away thinking he was an out and out steal for the owners. And give him a solid shot at winning here.
This is the time of year that young horses move up from start to start when they are good and these two don't have to do too much more by way of improving to take Baffert down.
Doubt you will get any value on Chasing Time. #myracehorse
Barber Road is intriguing for sure. Need to see TG numbers.
