Title: Oaklawn hides replay w/infraction and inquiry…
Post by: JohnTChance on December 21, 2021, 09:28:57 AM
Sunday, December 19, Oaklawn's 5th race: Result: 3... 11... 1... 4...

The 4 claims foul against the 3 in the stretch and also, the stewards put up the inquiry sign.

The track video shows the saddle numbers with indications of the inquiry and jock's objection.

BUT DOES OAKLAWN SHOW THE REPLAY TO THE PUBLIC IN REAL TIME AS THE STEWARDS LOOK AT IT? No! Incredible! What an outrage! But wait. There's more!

After the race is official, Oaklawn plays back the replay as tracks usually do. Finally an opportunity for players to see what happened, right? Wrong!

Oaklawn indeed finally played back the race... BUT CUT OUT THE FEW SECONDS OF THE VIDEO WHERE THE ALLEGED INFRACTION AND INQUIRY TOOK PLACE! OAKLAWN SIMPLY CUT IT OUT, "DISSOLVING" FROM EARLY IN THE STRETCH TILL THE VERY END NEAR THE FINISH LINE! Oaklawn was too afraid to show the entire race!

I had no bet in the race. And I could care less about the finish. But this was the most outrageous thing I've seen in a while.

As I saw it (as owner of a win ticket on the eleven)

I did not see #3 foul #4. #6 gets squeezed and causes the #5 to stumble on the heels of my #11 and catapult its rider.

The #11 runs 5-6 wide all the way around.

The winner #3 keeps to business in front of everyone else and the #1 slips through an opening in traffic

To conclude that OP stewards were trying to hide something has merit however I opt for incompetence as a greater probability. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU16JbR4TMU)

Prehaps they did not show it because of the jockey who fell from their horse in the stretch run. Tracks usually don\'t show these accidents.

No broken bones for Kylee Jordan who was unseated in Race 5 Sunday
after her mount clipped heels in upper stretch. She was transported by ambulance to CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs with a dislocated shoulder (about to be put back into place)
