Scratch a horse that wasn't evacuated by a vet, because he busted through the starting gate ,an event that didn't happen because they opened the gate for the horse to get out, then un-scratch the horse, but do not take down his odds and pool amounts, giving the perception he is still in the park mutual pool, on racings biggest stage, brilliant! Then fumble the aftermath!
Looks like the last two races on Future Stars Friday are a horse that can't run in the derby and a horse that won but didn't.
They don't care about the bettor at ALL! The owner gets purse money, the track gets there takeout, Brisnet,Drf get there income, and the bettor always looses, even when he wins, disgusting.

and the worse part...if you look at the replay when the 2 went over he did not touch the 1....the 1 was let out of the gate quickly as others said....look at the 2 and tell me he didn\'t touch the 3 when he was panicking...looks like he kicked/hit him...but the 3 still runs as the fav. I\'ve had a lot of DQs and crazy things happen and I brush it off...this was a joke.
I have to admit, the foul up actually helped me but I was only playing verticals.
Belmont I believe you have a good suggestion on a permanent rule change. If a horse or part of an entry is scratch from wagering and does run or other part of the entry runs then the race becomes an all for horizontal wagers.
I believe but not positive that if one part of an entry is scratch after the first race of an horizontal wager you stay with the other horse in your horizontal. Although not exactly the same situations this is fair to all , treating it the same way as a change in surface.

Statement from the Breeders\' Cup
Breeders' Cup races are subject to CHRB rules, including Rule 1974 B which states: "If a horse is removed from the wagering pool due to a totalizator error, or due to any other error, and neither the trainer nor the owner is at fault, the horse shall start in the race as a non-wagering interest for the purse only and shall be disregarded for pari-mutuel purposes."
