I probably missed the reason for the initial post. If the magic reference means he\'s a cheater I don\'t know.

He came up with the Doug O\'Neill barn and caught a nice break when Calumet hired him. Rusty Arnold also trains for the stable.

A friend and I came to the opinion he couldn\'t train turf horses, which could be a problem with all those English Channels, but he seems to have worked it out. Still only 10% lifetime on the surface. Been on his own since 2018 - 474 starters.

I am willing to give any guy, esp one with a Brit accent, a chance, but I think this talk is a bit knee jerk. He saddles the 2-1 ML favorite in Saturdays Bruce D Stakes at AP.

I know relatively little about the man but I know more now. Thank you. He just might be a legitimately keen horseman. Hats off to him if he is.

I don\'t think he is a cheater....he wins at too low a percentage to be part of that group.  I\'ve hit a few of his surprise winners and they all seem to have one thing in common....they get prepped into their big wins off one or two prep races with improving performances from the previous race to a prep to a prep.  In other words, he seems to have a goal and gets there the old fashioned way.
