Title: Is it a cost thing?
Post by: cjestice on May 29, 2021, 04:50:21 AM
Still no results from the Medina split sample.

Is there a reason why both can\'t be sent to different labs at the same time?

What am I missing?

Read in the Courier Journal that Baffert gets to select the lab used and he\'s dragging his feet. I think the sample could degrade with time potentially giving a negative result.

It is now up to Team Baffert to request a split sample and there is no time provision in the rule.  The fact that he is still allowed to train in the meantime or BB\'s legal team has time to come up with a game plan could be factors but that is only speculation.
