The TIF report is a must read. They also did a interview on the Business of Betting podcast on YouTube a while ago. Check it out.

Though I am sympathetic to Mr. Hayward\'s thoughts on this matter, I would suggest that opening with: \"My wife, Betsy Senior, had to close her art gallery, and by the end of the month, we had packed up our car and, along with our 18- and 19-year old cats, drove to Saratoga Springs.  We have been here ever since, with the occasional trip back to New York City . . .\" is not exactly an ideal opening for his argument.

One could easily extrapolate many of society\'s current ills from that one line if you expand it\'s context.

Very interesting article.  I remain mystified by the workings of computer robotic wagering other than they\'ve figured out a way to game the system in what has to be the least sexy way of making money short of returning discarded bottles for recycling.  Between that and what is apparently the increasing sophistication of performance enhancing \"strategies\" coupled with lax enforcement, we have a stew that has led to a noticeable decrease in interesting conversation on this message board along with a few other related problems.  When you consider what happened on \"the street\" recently, or the influence of mobilizing public opinion and behavior through various forms of technological communication, I mostly would like to find ways to short the future.

What, you\'re not a fan of de-evolution? All the kool kids are doing it. Just read the WSB boards to secure proof.

I can tell you the bots do get it wrong from time to time.

And something quite interesting been going on for some time. Doubt if its been mentioned in public.

Some person/ group  seems to have a penchant for investing a cool 10k in an exacta wheel on a single horse.  Usually on top only. And unbalanced, so a it crushes the longshot payoffs far below fv.  Done in a single flash, no attempt to hide it.

I also notice with some interest , that these slabs rarely win .  Thats right .

Normally, I would not even mention this, but I don\'t really have a way to capitalize on it , so I\'m not hurting myself by revealing it .

Thought you guys might be interested.
