#6 - Glass Slippers has improved over the course of the season last year and this year again, and this year they\'ve decided to extend her season by one race for this.
You have to squint a little to make out the case, but she has been slightly faster at each step this year vs. last - until catching a complete bog at Longchamp in her last. Any improvement on last year\'s last race makes her serious here.
She gets Lasix and has generally run up front in Europe. Multi G1 winner, and at the UK bookmakers is taking some action (4th choice, prevailing line 7.5/1). Given COVID I wouldn\'t think they entered her for the box seats.
I will also back #14 - Extravagant Kid: progressive last few races after a short rest, working out great (and maybe somewhat significantly, better than is usual for him), and if anyone can find a short way home from way out there, Rispoli is a good candidate.
Good luck to us all!
I like her as well. Will be using her along with the 3,4,7.
Glass Slippers is so solid, a multiple Group 1 winner over there which makes her
an obvious contender here. The question might be whether she will corner well...
all of her career races have come on \"straight\" courses.
Also interesting to me in this race: Oleksandra, a six year old mare in lifetime
form for Ron McInally (has win over this course last year) and Got Stormy, who has
remade herself from a top miler to a surprisingly effective turf sprinter.
I am also very interested in Extravagant Kid in this race. He has a very capable trainer and still seems to bring his \"A\" game at age 7, as he has a back number this year which is as fast as the M/L favorites. Also a few observations- he has somehow managed to draw the rail post in his previous three starts at Keeneland. In his last race, he was covered up in a tight pocket inside until the top of the stretch. I have watched this replay several times and noted that Gaffalione found open air at the 3/16th pole but was only hands and heels until the last 100 yards of the race when he started to seriously urge the horse - therefore, this race appeared to be a prep. He will have to work out a trip from the wide post - but he offers value at double digit odds.
Good Luck.
Richiebee,
Small Correction: Oleksandra is trained by Neil Drysdale. More interesting to me is that she is stabled at Bel Park for her works but Neil is a SoCal trainer. Curious whose barn at Bel she stays in. Anyone know? Been a fine filly for a while.
Imprimis had a surgery at some point between last year\'s BC and this year\'s campaign that has helped enormously. I think I heard this during an interview earlier this year.
I\'m interested in Big Runnuer who won\'t mind sending from the rail, saves ground, and maybe holds on late to get it done?
In the SPRINT, why would Mott send Frank\'s Rockette against the boys and a tougher field for 2 million instead of the F/M Sprint with a shorter field (but half the purse)? One of the more interesting entries for sure as far as trainer intent. Maybe 6f instead of 7f?
Good Luck to all today.
