Nobody has any opinions?

Buy low, sell high.

The race doesn\'t always go the swift but that\'s the way to bet.

William Shatner\'s worst toupee is better than the very best toupee that James Traficant ever sported.

Is the inquiry and objection over in the nation reminds me of the 2019 derby 🤪

Ok, I\'ll start.

1. I think Dunbar Road will outrun her likely double digit odds. Using underneath
2. The mile and 1 1/2 turfs have the best chance of producing the day\'s biggest upset.
3. Baffert\'s winning the Classic.

Good Luck,
Joe B

I have a question, what does the data for 2012 and 2013 show, if anything, for the angle “off Lasix” for the 2yo races? Wondering how big of a factor that might be this year.

In The Juvenile Baffert sends Classier an Empire Maker colt who seems able to run with dragsters Jackie\'s Warrior & Reinvestment Risk neither of which have sires I like in route races. @12/1 I think he\'s an overlay on general principals. Bottom line a Baffert to Baffert Juvenile to Classic double.

Helluva post. That was a toupe on Traficant?

Re someone else, did they add a second 1 1/2 turf race?

I\'ll grab the horseplayers favorite part of a card like this, the undercard:

I thought Reconvene in the 3rd had a shot and with the two scratches draws closer inside. He got to a top after being gelded then at PIM was pinched after the break then lost all of his position, trailing farther than normal. He rallied inside onto heels, angled 2w then found traffic again to get up for 3rd.

That course was strange that day and I\'m willing to say he was the best out of that race. 8/1 and I\'ll use with some others - including what was mentioned in the Analysis (without giving anything away).

I\'ll add my 2 cents.

Public Sector - Chad Brown horses with less than competitive figs coming out of races with a Sl_Pace are almost always looking at a 2-3 point improvement when they finally get something to run at. Looking through the BC Sheets, you will find countless examples of this. If this horse gets that today, it will put him squarely in the middle of this. I also think 8F hits Kingman progeny right on the nose and anything longer puts them outside of their wheelhouse, especially in graded company. Horse figures to be 10-1 or higher given all the hype surrounding the Euros in this race.

GL all.

I agree with you in the sense that I really like Reconvene\'s line current form and progress.

I just don\'t fancy him in this race.

Other than the potential for trouble and ground loss the #\'s 3, 6. 7 (at least) will probably string the field out leaving #10 reconvene just too much to do in the stretch.

Absolutely agree with this, I believe Structor last year fits the bill. Slower than the top contenders yet won. Public Sector is a must use

I thought this horse was visually impressive in replay of last. They walked the half mile and PUBLIC SECTOR was closing fast and making up ground. He gets a normal pace and he could roll.
Title: Race 3

Nobody wants to read a red board..........

#14 Bye Bye Melvin a nice line with a very competitive last number. Has been racing on softer ground, but at 15/1 worth a look.

#6 Fancy Liquor obviously more than good enough

#15 Ajourneytofreedom worth adding to the mix.

Taking a shot with the #14 at a square price. Box with 2,6,15

I tossed in the winner in my boxes. Just to further make me cringe afterwards.

Here is my take: In 2012 and 2013, the Breeder’s Cup outlawed Lasix in 2YO races. All of the Juvenile Turf races were won by Europeans in both years. In fact, those are the only two wins on the filly side. But there is a big difference between last time and this time. In those previous years two-year-olds did race on Lasix during the regular year in the US. This year, none of the two-year-olds have raced on Lasix in the US, so there does not seem to be the same disadvantage there was last time. However most of the juvenile Woodbine horses did have Lasix (Alda did not use it if I remember correctly) so it might be a factor with them, but seems like the playing field is more even this time around. However, the 2YO Euros do not get the purported “First Time Lasix Boost” that they have received in the other years, so maybe their figures don’t jump up as much as they have in the past, but personally I am still allowing for improvement on the TG numbers for those horses.
Title: Re: Awful quiet out there... AUTHENTIC
Post by: prist on November 06, 2020, 11:16:19 AM
What\'s the consensus on AUTHENTIC?

One number good enough to win, and it looks like he could bounce off that number, but at 6/1 on the M/L I\'m inclined to take a shot he pairs.

I wouldn\'t take less than 3/1 on anybody in the Classic. If that\'s the case, TIZ THE LAW and IMPROBABLE are no bargain.
