Curious if anyone on here is \"in the know\" and can speak to whether there is any chance some number of fans will be allowed into the track this summer?
It\'s hard to imagine a huge place like Saratoga not being safe if they cap attendance. It\'s all open air and no different than most outdoor dining venues.
I am not making any reservations.
Despite a close connection to some Tiz the Law partners,
I doubt even owners will be on the grounds.
Belmont was pretty bad for the owners. A TV and Pennell’s hardly a substitute for
100,000 Frank Sinatra wannabes chanting New YorK New York While you accept the August Belmont Trophy.
But always dreaming wasn’t a bad horse. And that is about where we are on my GPS system.
Nice to hear from you!
They could certainly figure out a way to do it safely: limit the number of people, require social distancing, close any suites or enclosed rooms, etc.. I think the onus would be on NYRA to submit a plan for approval, if they haven’t already.

We have a similar question here for Del Mar. The track would like to offer seating for owners and have submitted a plan pending Newsom\'s approval. The virus surge is not in San Diego county so maybe... .
Guys:
As much as I want it to happen at this point my contacts in NYRA are doubtful... there were many plans drawn up over the past 3 months... including possible delay of the meet into mid/late September...in the end the decision on allowing fans is NOT NYRA\'s...it is Gov. Cuomo\'s...think about this for a moment... they are having the US Open tennis tournament in early September...WITH OUT fans... that should tell you all you need to know
I fully understand that Saratoga isn\'t Queens...but given the recent \'spikes\' of cases in other states I don\'t see any possibility of them allowing ANY fans at \'The Spa\' this year.

Hearing the same thing. Lead story on the local news was a small outbreak tied to visitors from Florida. People will understandably flock to those places that are open. I feel for the owners that were unable to attend the Belmont Stakes. If ever there was a place to practice social distancing, Belmont Park is it ... Good luck all, be safe, have fun!
Cheers
