#9 Ridden by Gaddiel Martinez crossed the finish line first in this race by a couple or three lengths. I had just put on the video and only saw the stretch run.
Then I noticed the #9 was 99/1. Wow I thought. Then the replay came up and the #9 clearly cut over shortly after the start and fouled the #1 an even modey favorite that ran an apparent second.
The inquiry/objection signs came on and predictably the #9 was moved to 2nd with a $63 place price.
I couldn\'t help thinking you only get so many of these kinds of opportunities. You gotta know that your horse is live and has some speed. The inexperience of the rider spoiled a big score and it was a shame for some.
