He\'s 1-31 at GP and owners are running from him like rats off a sinking ship. I see today that one of his most prominent owners. Imaginary Stables, has switched trainers to Elizabeth Dobles. Is there some backstory here?
I had posted the text below earlier this morning on a email string with some TG/non-TG users.
Going into yesterday Senor Navarro was 34-2-5-4 6% win 32% ITM
Let’s leave it at rumors of his barn being under a microscope and having been visited.
Strictly heresy 😎 Richie posted the Mattice Tweet of why all his horses were 10-15 lengths slow, that’s when he was 0-19. I’ve had a few email exchanges with TGJB this week and across the board he has been SLOW on just about everything.
Maybe he has asked Santa ðŸŽ... for some help?
While I’m at it.......
Here is my Gulf Stakes Pick 5 play today....
Happy Holidays
The My Charmer:
All Mitchell Road here as a single, loves the trip, rail with Jose & tactical speed in a heat that starts on the turn, won his last 2 of similar breaks. 1
The Rampart:
A TG radio race for Roger and without talking to him about it 4,8,10,11
TG guys have to like 4,8,10, the 11 is Cookie Dough for RickðŸ˜, Paco with controlling speed on the outside at a flat mile doesn’t hurt either 😎
The Harlan’s Holiday:
Strictly a 2 horse affair for me, 1,6 tossing Flowers for Lisa until Navarro’s horses start to run, he will not get my money at short prices.
The Ft. Lauderdale:
Maker from the rail at a price, Flavius was bet like a good thing first time in NA, bad start, finished full of run with a strong gallop out, cranking some Palm Meadows bullets,
Channel Cat of course. Flavius will get a bump. 1,3,5
Race 11:
An All button play can cover 1x4x3x2x12 for $144 for .50
1x4x3x2 with 1,2,3,6,8,10,11 =$84 for .50
Pressing Flavius: 1x4x1x2xAll = $48 for .50
1x4x1x2x7 = $56 for a buck
Good luck and how about some feedback dead beats ðŸŽ...😱🙀ðŸ˜,
FD
Frank, I always enjoy reading your posts, wish you and richiebee would post more often. I haven\'t finished handicapping the GP card yet, but you might want to have another look at the other Chad in the Ft. Lauderdale for inclusion on your ticket.
Here is my trip note for Instilled Regard\'s last race at Aqueduct, \"BOTTLED UP INSIDE TO TRN - ANGLED OFF RAIL STR - GOOD CLOSE GALLOP OUT WHEN CLEAR.\"
Good Luck.
OK - I will take a shot....
Race 7. Like the rail slot for Mitchell Road â€" these should be much easier than the ones she has been facing. Seems versatile enough. Will get an extra press. Also have always been partial to Altea â€" Chad and Irad are a potent duo. Using on a ticket. Using mainly the 1 with a one ticket with the 6
Race 8. This seems like a race Paco was born to ride â€" the speed of the field on the outside. Like this one in this spot. Unholy Alliance was awful as the 2/1 favorite in return to the track after a lengthy layoff. But, she is working great and unless she went off the rails, I think she has much better in her and can vastly improve her 2YO numbers. Cairenn goes first for John Ortiz, but not sure how much he can improve her over Motion. Will use on limited basis. Like the numbers on Tweeting, but not going to use as I am not sure Dobles can get the same out of her as Navarro did previously.
Race 9. Channel Cat seems like a use off the Breeder’s Cup race, but sometimes at this time of the year, those types of effort seem to catch up with horses. Like the versatility as he can lead, stalk or close. JV rides for Pletcher. Admission Office has been close in many of his starts and could fit with these. Flavius has been bet in every race of his life and broke slow in US debut â€" think he is better than shown. Would use 3-5-8.
Race 10. Bodexpress seems to have blossomed â€" thought he had an outside shot in the Derby. Loved his last race and looks competitive here. Red Crescent may get a great trip behind the speed. Liked his last. Not a huge fan of Prince Lucky, but think he is a must use in this spot, just not sure how the pace dynamics help him. Tossing both the Navarro horse and the ex-Navarro horse.
Race 11. Dakota’s Dude goes first out for Falcone â€" I like this trainer and he fits well here off a couple month layoff. King Orb seems to be the most consistent performer and will be around at the finish. Can’t Trump Kitten has won 3/6 starts and could be better here than his odds dictate â€" always nice to have a decent sized price that you think has at least an outside chance. Compagno has been off since June and lands in the Schettino barn after being claimed from Morley for $25K. A bit suspicious in terms of the class drop, but seems to be working well enough. Main selections are the 2-8 with some play on the 10-12 as well.
All minimum bets:
1/1-11/3-5-8/3-6/2-8-10-12 = $24
1/1-10-11/3-5-8/1-3-6/2-8 = $27
1-6/1-10-11/3-5-8/1-3-6/2-8 = $54
Grinder,
Nice call.
Let me give you my trip notes on Instilled Regard.
Hasn’t won a race in 22 months, a 4 yr old with 13 starts eligible for a 2X,
A 309 Tommy for green, 5 starts in 15 months with gaps of 140, 70, 124, 190 days
then comes back in 35 days and goes off at tremendous value 3/1.
Wait there is more.....
In the Risen Star he was 7/5 and I had a very nice exacta with he and Bravazo @ 20/1, he ran 4th. In his comeback race this year at Keeneland he was 2/5 costing me a decent pick 5.
I would not have bet this horse today if you gave me the money.
Thanks to Molesap for posting his shot. The next time you wonder why people don’t post anymore? Over 200 people read my play 2 responses with only one pertaining to the sequence.
Fair enough. Merry Christmas!
Grinder:
Thanks for the shout out. The recent absence of my epic (length, not impact) posts leaves plenty of room for other voices to be heard. I’m still reading here, but the amount of time I spend reading/researching thoroughbred racing has decreased drastically, to the point where I am more “novice†than expert.
I do have a good wager for you, if someone will agree to set odds and handle the action: After not having touched a golf club for 4.5 years, I have rejoined my country club (sorry I couldn’t make that sound any less elitist)and will be working back to my lifetime top, a modest 15 handicap. Off the long layoff, I will be a decent price to win the 2020 TG Open, but only on a firm course.
Best holiday wishes to all T-Generates. Fore!
Richie, you rejoined a country club in December?
Yup, actually mid November. Prepaid for an inexpensive (not elitist!) limited membership for 2020. Did not ask the golf pro about skating or ice fishing on water hazards during the winter months.
ðŸ,
In a Spa seminar (remember those) TGAB would definitely refer to you as an OUCHIE with a back number......
Frankie Rainbow:
Back class always dangerous.
Now you go!
IMHO - the following link The Inner Game Of Golf (https://www.amazon.com/Inner-Game-Golf-Timothy-Gallwey/dp/0812979702) while not as entertaining as say... \"Golf In The Kingdom\" can improve ones proficiency without trying (heh heh insider joke)!
Joy To The World
Right you are Frank as regards Richiebee being ouchy (spelling Frank)!. So by the time he shows up at the TG Spa City Invitational he will have gotten the good ones out of the way (early in a campaign--heck by New Year\'s they may be exhausted)! I\'m booking all bets on Richiebee.
You\'re both right, \"Ouchie\" being the spelling for the noun form and \"ouchy\" for the adjectival.
Is it handicapped?
In a manner of speaking...
