Check today\'s Red Board Room/6th Saratoga Sept. 2. They made the Exaggerate horse 4/5. I had the steeplechase horse on my list and this lightly raced horse, Fitness. Fitness looked just as fast as the 4/5 shot (at least in the mud), and at nearly 30-1 I took a shot that he would handle the grass - especially given the trainer stats that make it look like the guy is better on the turf. Who is this Paul Fout? Sweet.
The Victory Gallop in the 8th romped on the grass. I managed to screw that one up. Can\'t win \'em all.
Everybody enjoy the Labor Day Weekend! HP
from what I read, he trained colstar, who ran 7th in the bc f+m turf of 2000, if that helps you any.
also, looks like he had another on the card who was just a couple lengths back at 30-1.
DOUST made a nice move on the turn in the 8th! I got carried away in the exotics because of him and blew off the 15-1 on the VGallop winner. I also decided to bet against Baffert\'s horse, who was pretty short (4-1?) since Baffert really doesn\'t do his best work up there, but he finished third and scotched my tri. So much for my intelligent betting posts. HP
Something to add to bomb winner FITNESS.
The sire (Lion Cavern) was just moved to Greece because interest in him in the states had waned.
Most of his stakes winners have raced on the grass in England ( a nice piece of info to have prior to yesterday\'s 6th race).
Didn\'t LION CAVERN race on grass in England and then won a sprint stakes in NY???
Good Luck,
joe b.
yeah, england, and he kept some pretty decent company in france.

Lion Cavern died in August within a few days of his relocation to Greece.

Good Luck,
