Title: Maximum Security
Post by: Dana666 on May 13, 2019, 02:41:39 PM
Heard Jersey scuttlebutt to the effect that he may be finished. Going for x-rays? Can\'t confirm this in any news outlet. I\'m wondering if he\'ll ever get his Haskell redemption. Hard to believe a horse who ran once as two year old and had only one route race going into the Derby, trained by a performance enhancing master, is physically destroyed by the rigors of the triple crown.

While it\'s too soon to know if Maximum Security has a physical problem and if so what. The alternative to the tough triple crown preparation idea or the notion going off is residue of a couple of top efforts I prefer a more convoluted conspiracy.

The colt was entered in a Dec 2018 auction for breeding and racing prospects. i.e.(connections knew about physical problem and were considering selling it to someone else) Subsequently the colt was withdrawn from the auction. (Servis suggests he may be able to right the wrong). MS then wins his first race impressively.

Considering that some have reported the K18 or whatever snake oil Servis uses is claimed to heal injuries doesn\'t it follow that the horse went to Servis on the off chance that the medicine man might heal the young prospect.

Even though it might not be long lasting?

All this story needs now is a PETA investigation and betting coup.

Word is that x-rays were negative and Servis said \"He got beat up a little bit in the Kentucky Derby but we\'re fortunate it was nothing too serious. He just needs some time. I will let him tell me (when he\'s ready to race again).\" In the meantime, Gary West said the Haskell is their goal at this point, but he may get a prep race prior to that. He will be at Monmouth in the interim. So maybe it is not quite as bleak as first thought, as trainers always give full disclosure. :)

In a legal case it\'s in the interests of the Churchill Downs stewards to give jockey Luis Saez 15 days - because he clearly committed the equestrian Crime O\' The Century.

And it\'s in the interests of Maximum Security\'s owners to make it clear that their poor horse may never race again because War Of Will beat the crap out of him.

Well, since Mad Magazine is in the news lately, let\'s call this:  \"Spy vs. Spy.\"
