Will you accept it?
I really don\'t care if a few bitter MS ticket holders don\'t accept it. They can grumble their life away.
Always tainted I’d think. But can he really wheel back again in two weeks? He just ran the race of his life to place?
Probably correct and flattened out a little late while bearing out. I know Mott wont do it but Tacitus should run back. Cinch

No worries. He didn\'t win the first one. He aint\' winning any more. Not with \"Applesauce\" that 3rd rate shill of a horse trainer giving racing a black eye.
Interesting. I know people who bet Country House and they got paid. So no matter how you look at it he had to be declared the winner as in \"The Race is Official\".
Motts never been anything but Class. Came up the hard way. Earned his stripes as a respected horseman going all the back to Heatherten and Vanlandingham. If he loses the next one he wont be one thing for sure. A sore koser....
Nice horse but I’m afraid Country House had its Keen Ice moment of glory already. Will bet against if he makes it to Preakness. If he got couple more DQs going his way and somehow won the TC, that one would have an asterisk for me. It has to, no other TC winner left a doubt whether they were the best horse to my knowledge.
What exactly did you expect Mott to say with the camera in his face and the reporter grilling him? What exactly did he say that offended it you? I can smell the sour grapes on your breath from Florida.
#1 Couldn’t agree more on Mott, but I think the two you mentioned from the 80s were another class act, Shug.
#2 I just pulled out the book to check, Both Mott and Shug trained Heatherton. I remember seeing Shug at Mth with her, but he might have recently taken the Loblolly job. Regardless, agree on either or both.
Yes, let\'s go after Mott for stating the truth. Let\'s not go after Saez who lied about what happened.

Totally correct. Vanlandingham was NO DOUBT Shug for the Loblolly Stable. I went brain dead there and I have a story about a friend trying to call me the day Shug shipped this one up on Suburban Day after a blistering CD Work and at 10-1 who won by 10 and I was playing golf pre cell phone. How about that answering machine message when I got home....ugh
I believe I was thinking about Theatrical for Mott. First owned by Firestone then Paulson or a little of both. A couple of powerhouse operations from 25+ years ago
Yes these guys landed in some of these jobs at the recommendation of the Lexington Blue Blood crowd. Good man good horseman does right by the horse type of thing. Mott personally lost both his parents at a young age. Learned under Van Berg. Literally slept in a few stalls. He would saddle a Heatherten and then a $5,000 claimer in the last at CD with the same level of attention. Its who he is.
I\'ve seen these slo mo people have been posting.
* Saez was one path inside a tire track then was 2 paths outside that same tire track. Ok fair enough he got spooked and \"herded\" some of the field wide.
*Then he made a left hand turn and went 5 paths left after Code of Honor. Slightly brushed and kept Code of Honor on a part of the Track that had not even been sealed.
*When he \"herded\" it caused Bode to back up out of there and it caused a few other jocks behind that group to hold and steady for a few jumps.
Saez had the best horse and probably didn\'t need to do all of this. He did he was reckless and this is an easy DQ. Doesn\'t mater it was the Derby. The only reason its a hard call
Too much drama. Saez lies about what exactly? It’s over and done with. Move on. If it goes to court it goes to court. Country House out of Preakness, no triple crown talk - shut it down.
LMAO who made you the Moderator? Get real. Go tell PDub to screw himself again? It was a legitimate question and these were legitimate points. We post on here all year. See you again in 51 weeks pal

The head-on that wasn\'t shown by the broadcast pretty clearly shows him looking over his right shoulder, seeing the pressure, and allowing a lead switch to do a little race-riding on WoW. This wasn\'t a fluke accident where the horse freaked \"because of crowd noise\".
If the horse only does what Saez intended - nudging WoW back - he probably gets away with it, but losing 4 paths and stopping multiple horses was too much. He intentionally cracked opened the door that allowed the horse to bolt.
The \"there was nothing I could do\" narrative is bull.

The amount of control over lead changes you ascribe to Saez (or any other jockey) is inconsistent with what I have read. If Saez wanted to carry War of Will wide, he certainly could have done it without a lead change and would probably do it leaving the turn, not at the 5/16ths pole. It is noteworthy that the lead change occurs right at the point when War of Will runs up on Maximum Security\'s heels, possibly making contact, as shown in the video in another thread. I don\'t know if there was contact, and I don\'t care about the DQ, but I don\'t think you should be calling Luis Saez a liar without more insight than you have provided. Do you have riding experience?

I suspected that there was about a 0% chance they ran Country House back in the Preakness. Way to much heat to handle, only to be magnified when the horse ran up the track.(Just didn’t see this one coming back at his best in two weeks)
Unfortunate for the sport that MS & CH won’t start though, it would have been great theatre, galvanizing the masses on each side of the aisle. Another golden opportunity goes by the wayside as racing continually can’t get out of it’s own way. Paraphrasing a recent political mind, “Don’t let a good tragety go to waste.â€
This could have been built up and spun to have sides drawn like you don’t see in racing these days. Neither of the two running is easily the worst possible outcome. Instead we get lawyers, lawsuits, and backroom deals. The fan and the sport lose once again.
I used to post frequently- but have chosen to stay away for various reasons like your reply. I get everyone thinks they are right.
. The trend in sports is officiating in all sports is getting too involved, NFL, NBA and MLB , and this past year DQ’s in racing have all gotten more involved in determining outcomes. Sports betting will demand better. potentially under the table money will influence outcomes. I’ve heard both sides of the story. It’s official no Preakness for Country House shuts down what if he wins TC discussion. My advice to ya’ll is whatever side your on , nothing going to change the payouts, which I’m sure most of us are interested in. Let’s move on.
And FWIW ,I own a few runners , my cousin is Max Security handler for Servis @ Mth. I talked to a few trainers and jocks that I know about the incident. Nothing is going to change based upon our bloviating on the TG site.
The good news is it will be a full field and a good wagering race for the first time in a while. That is assuming they still hold the race. The way things are going in Baltimore they might forget.
Thanks will do. And good luck to you and your horses and those connections. Everyday that goes by they look like they are handling a bad beat with class.
Do you have an opinion you\'d care to share about Servis, as a trainer?
