Title: About This Weekend
Post by: Silver Charm on April 03, 2019, 05:57:35 PM
Keeneland opens. New York is full blast. California is in controversy but running. Block out the crap, handicap and wager

As far as this last weekend. I stood 5 feet from Hidden Stroll in the Paddock. A very very large horse who had NO SHOT in the Derby if he couldnt punch and finish after rating. They answered that question last Saturday. If Servis wins the Derby with a 45% Win Clip you can bet the Blue Bloods Deep State will be scrambling to stop it. A $16K Maiden Claimer and Maiden just ran 1-2 in the Florida Derby. I mean why build a multi million dollar breeding operation with considerable annual market risk when you can score big in Grade Ones on the cheap if you have the right trainer....

super dumb question, and I hope you\'ll pardon it, but what is the relation between Jason and John Servis. I know, they\'re brothers, but did they work together, do they come from a racing family etc? Just always been curious and haven\'t seen anybody ever comment on this. Is John still based at Parx? Is his win % in the same stratosphere as his brother\'s?

No on the win %. John has stayed based at PARX for the most part. He winters at GP. Jason was harmless winning with big %\'s at places like Tampa PARX or Delware. But now we are taking last Summer at Bekmont and Gulstream in the prime meet. And sometimes making a mockery of the wagering pools. At the current rate mo Legislator will kill racing faster than the powers that be themselves who sit back and watch and do nothing

Dale,

You could not be more correct....
Stopped this one in his tracks. Go back to Parx & Monmouth and win 45%. It ain’t happening here. The line for Tapit & Companies juice would have gotten a lot shorter.

Sigh.

His win rate is 31%. It\'s the same as Brown\'s and is 3% higher than Sadler\'s.

Is he a cheat?  I don\'t know.  But that should be clear from dramatic and sudden moveups off the claim, not the win rate.

Whatever he\'s doing, it\'s not steroids.  MS got 5 weeks rest and nothing approaching a workout in that time.

wasn\'t a claim per my material

That\'s my point. That he wins isn\'t evidence of much.  If it were a horse he claimed, sure.

The horse ran for $16K claiming tag. He was there to be taken by anyone. Servis is not using Steroids. It is another procedure and people are beginning to catch on. A guy like this upsets the balance of good old boys club. This horse should have won but the jock rode reckless.

In reply to Silvers post, I invite all to read Mike Mike Watchmakers article in the DRF re today’s  Derby - “As for Maximum Security, the ongoing question.I have is, how can he be this good. He is trained by Jason Servis who is winning races this year at a 30% clip, and who won races at the Gulfstream championship meet at something like a 42% clip....How can an outfit as smart as this be so wrong about this horse to risk him for peanuts”. That is either brilliant sarcasm or....?

They couldn’t give this horse, his dam & daddy away.
Was it because of his knees?
