Cigar Mile day at Aqu is the single trickiest day I\'ve ever done, and not just because of the teletimer problems. Massive changes in track speed, dead rail-- all dirt races will be reviewed after several horses have run back.
David Aragona of NYRA/Timeform US has suggested that the rail may have improved later in the card. Have you ever designated a rail as dead for only part of a card? We know track speed can change during the day. Can biases also change?
This is my note for the day
w++ , rail seem better late card
Playing from LRD , I can\'t see what the crew might be doing and there was no weather change I\'m aware of, so one has to go off visuals.
Yeah, see bias change all the time, or at least APPEAR to.
For races 5 - 10, the only race I didn\'t think one of the top 2 would win was the Mile itself.
What do you refer to exactly as \"tricky\"?...not sure I follow, JB.
Saving Jerry the trouble, he\'s talking about making the figures/variant
Yes, one of this years BC days, I think.
Yeah. And the sâ€"t I did you will find in no book. Subject to strenuous review.
If that had been a Thursday with maiden races I might have boxed the whole day, except for the last two.
Got it, guys...thanks.
