Title: Running downhill & drifting out
Post by: shanahan on April 16, 2018, 05:48:29 AM
I might just shed a note on the \"running downhill\" - it was during the 1st segment of Byk\'s show last Wednesday (possibly Thursday, but pretty sure Wednesday) a guest said that the track is slightly uphill going into the first turn and downhill off the final turn.  I ignored it thinking it was just an oddity, or perhaps they were all like that to some tiny degree...but who cared?  Apparently, quite a lot of people.  Just FWIW & where that might all have come from.

Second point - MM drifted out noticeably, but haven\'t seen any comments on that.  Thoughts?

At about 3:04 of the video, MM is stopping to turn around and trips/stumbles.  JOckey looks back like he\'s looking for a hole or something on the track. Could be a tired horse or could mean absolutely nothing.  Makes me a little uncomfortable, especially with the bearing out.  But I\'m certainly no expert.

I\'ve seen horses late to change leads and seen em not change leads, however I\'ve never seen one change leads that soon. Who knows?
