1)Anyone care to comment on Audible\'s gallop out after the Fla Derby?
2)I read in BloodHorse that Magnier/ O\'Brien plan to follow their standard operating procedure and ship Mendelssohn to Kentucky right on top of the race, at the last possible moment. As I have said in past years, I would upgrade Mendelssohn\'s chances if he were given more acclimation time.
3) Great day for Spendthrift/ Into Mischief. Into Mischief is half brother to Mendelssohn and sire of Audible.
4)Great to see Rick Pitino in the winner\'s circle, though after reading accounts of the lawsuit which arose from a sexual encounter on a Louisville restaurant floor, I would have thought Pitino was partial to quarter horses.
2) I\'d look back to what he did in last year\'s Breeder\'s Cup. He shipped in from Europe last year & won, I\'d expect similar handling. Do you or anyone else know how many days he spent in the USA last year?
Initially, I had thought Audible hurt himself, but the jock was pulling on him pretty hard. Maybe it was one of those Dullahan-Bluegrass moments.
He was tired through the stretch, but was coming off the big forward move.
Ritchie if you are referring to Pitinos comment that the sex only lasted 15 seconds, so it doesnt count. Perhaps its equal to Quarter Horses which isnt really horse racing either.
