Title: Cigar Weights
Post by: ajkreider on November 30, 2017, 07:29:22 AM
They made this a very interesting betting race given the weights.  Sharp Azteca with 125 - which is at least 10 more than four horses, and a points worth for everyone bar Biscuits.

Lots of potential angles to play (a PJ rebound?), but looking for some bombs underneath.  As I recall, TG maxes out at a point for weight - but 10+ pounds seems like a lot going a mile.

Why would they max out at a point for weight? 10 pounds at a mile should equal almost exactly two (a little more than 3 lengths).

If the \"maxing out at a point\" rule really is used it would be very interesting to hear the rationale for it.

Not sure why I thought that. but I\'ve believed it for, like, 10 years now.  Nothing in the Intro, so who knows.  Early dementia, perhaps.

It gets late early around here.  And with apologies to Yogi, “At your age”.
