Title: Seminar- Rainy Days and Sundays....
Post by: belmont3 on August 14, 2017, 07:02:40 AM
Alan teed off the seminar Sunday morning with a threesome.

Girlfriend Irene was also present fully headphoned and somewhere between Shall We Dance and Blockchain.

BTW, a TG shout out to Irene for her 1st place finish in the Fred Astaire dance contest Saturday night. And many thanks for trying to explain Cyber currency, blockchain technology etc. to this neophyte. :)

I would propose TG think about a bit coin cyber currency betting exchange eliminating all takeout and no Tax Man Cometh.

A head \"SCRATCHING\" card for sure with all but two turf races changed to the main at varying distances.

Nonetheless, Alan brought his A game.

Started the card with a strong opinion on the 3 MakeaLittleLove at a reasonable mutuel all things considered.

In the 2nd, (turf to dirt and hsortened to 7f from 1 1/16), Alan made the case for the 7. Very healthy number.

In the 3rd, Alan made it a threepeat with Kelsocait. 6 to 1 ML, she was bet down to the Backyard\'s chagrin. Based on his positive take on the 5, the exacta was well within reach.

Did not note anything on the 4th (off the turf 5 horse field)  or 5th. (maiden).

Another short field in the 6th, Alan had no real opinion just noted that the 5 had a number.

We had a discussion about Chad in the 7th and how to play the race. Positive things to say on the 3 Earring and the 5 Pop By. After Andy \"Surly\" Serling  pretty much annointed the 4 Now Power as the WTW winner, there was great consternation buy the Upper East Sider sitting to my left.
In the end it was a Chad Chad Chad World.

No strong opinion in the Saratoga Special. The Pletchers obviously looked slow. Alan thought the 2 Mod Diddley would improve for Casse 2nd time out. The 9 he noted had the Fastest number and Fast numbers often win.

The 9th presented the Chad dilemna once again. Noble Freud fast and 1st turf at short price. Alan dug deep and made some interesting observations about the thoro pattern on the 8 Same Kinda Crazy pointing out that he was not likely to go forward. He was correct.

In the finale, a short priced MTO Pletcher drop presented the a similiar Chad Like dilemna,

Alan like the 3 quite a bit (he ran 2nd to the pletch).

Was a beautiful afternoon in the Backyard.
