Whoops.

Yeah, that was a new top. By like 5 points, and that\'s if nobody else fired. Could be better.

Almost two seconds faster than Battle Of Midway, carrying 6 pounds more, a path wider on both turns.

Conventional thinking to be put on hold for a while. It\'s only prudent when faced with new phenomena. Working backward.

Battle of Midway appeared to be participating in a paid ($60K) workout. sidebar - I was thinking the new owners were going to send him east. Saratoga perhaps.

Collect looked a bit of a runt next to the handsome and statuesque Donworth. Yet the little engine just kept running he slowed down naught maybe a tic. The last 16th 6s. Let us not forget the second place horse.

Belmont day a recent memory.

Cupids return, even though TG pointed out a new top possible, his wobblely run late suggested to me his lungs were willing even if his legs were not.

Arrogate - Dubai W.C., Pegasus, Breeders Cup Classic, If this one is the prototype of a new breed keeping them together and able to string performances looks not to be a problem.

Those waiting to pound the bounces next out beware!

Nothing unusual about Drefongs recent works :47\'s :59\'s handily and those aren\'t the works immediately preceding his next race i.e., 2017 coming out party.

It figures (no pun intended) that BB\'s entire stable would catch what ever (lightning) it is that\'s going around.

This must make for awkward telephone conversations JB?

I think what is the most interesting part of this Baffert run is that he didn\'t run a single horse in the highest public exposure races, the Triple Crown.  I have a hard time believing that he had zero stock capable of moving up from out of the clouds in one of those races.  But then, that would draw attention

Yes, you have to feel for Baffert. He must have been sorely tempted to give his 3YOs only a half-dose of juice for the Derby, Preakness, and Belmont, and try to finish 2nd, while risking a win that would have brought him attention, which he has always shunned.

First of all, texts, occasionally. Secondly, you might have noticed I went out of my way to pick against Collected, publicly.

That\'s a fair point, Rich.  I think that was a savvy move on the part of the notoriously publicity-shy BB to remain under the radar, and hide his light under the bushel of winning four stakes races, some by daylight, on one of racing\'s biggest days of the year.

As an aside, I\'m curious why you\'ve decided to make what, for you, is practically a ubiquitous return to posting, here, after an extended AWOL period.  I was always concerned that I might have inadvertently, and probably erroneously, corrected your grammar at some point, which could easily have been the final straw.

I\'m not sure I even want to know, Moose. My theory is that if people really knew why they did stuff, they would always be too afraid to do stuff. But I\'d guess that the answer is some mixture of disliking announced (and announced) boycotts, disliking anything that sets off my \"clique detector,\" and loving the way Richiebee\'s sentences sound when they are read out loud.
